Splish, splash, we’re not taking a bath, BUT…we will be using lots of water.  Come see what fun K, 1 & 2 will be having on Splash Day today from 11:00-1:00.  (washing clothes, toe fishing, plumbing, etc.)     

High School Chorus will practice for Baccalaureate during activity period today and tomorrow.  We will extend activity period 10 minutes tomorrow~no activity period Friday.

If you did not receive a certificate or plaque and are supposed to be awarded one from the Sports Award’s Program, please see Coach Scott.

Exams for Grades 8-12 begin this Thursday, May 15^th ~ the schedule is as follows:

The 2008 Yearbooks will be on sale until May 22nd for $30.00.  After that date, the price will be $35.00.  Please make checks payable to Amelia Academy Annual Staff.

Calling all girls Grades 7-12 for the 2008-09 School Year ~ Varsity Cheerleading Sign-Ups are now being held in the office.  We want you to be included in our fun summer activities!!

If you plan to play volleyball in the fall, please sign up in the office. 

The L.P.T. will hold their next meeting on Monday, May 19^th. 

The Boosters Club is again sponsoring a river float trip on the Appomattox River Tuesday, May 20th.  This will begin immediately after school at 12:00p.m.  Students should bring a lunch to eat before leaving school.  Students must turn in a permission slip no later than Friday, May 16th in order to participate.  Parents and students not planning to float the river may attend a picnic at Pam and Taylor Harvie's home around 5:00p.m.

Kindergarten Graduation will be held Tuesday, May 20^th at 7:00p.m. in the gymnasium.

Amelia Academy Youth Basketball Camp will be June 3-6 from 9:00a.m. until 12:00p.m.  It is for grades K-10.  Sign up sheets will be handed out and are available in the office.  Coach Scott                                             

Are you interested in learning to ride horses?  Do you have a horse that needs training?  If so, one of our seniors, Jamie B., will be offering lessons and training this summer.  If you are interested, please contact Jamie at 804-221-5206.  Discounts for Amelia Academy students.          

If you still wish to purchase an AA~Amelia Academy coffee mug from the L.P.T. orders may be made in the office~the cost is $10.00 each.
