Special Announcement of Congratulations
from Dr. Martin
No school on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Presidents’ Day!
Of grades 1 through 12, the grade with the highest mid-term average for the fall semester was grade 2, with a 95.22% average. For grades 6-12, the grade with the highest mid-term average was grade 7, with a 94.27% average. For all grades combined, the average was 92.190775%. This equates to a B average, which qualifies us for the privilege of celebrating at home Presidents’ Day (Feb. 21) and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Jan. 17).
My thanks to all the students who met my challenge and to the teachers — especially Mrs. Duncan — for computing the averages.
Nevertheless, please keep in mind that we have to meet the minimum number of attendance hours per year required by the State. Excessive snow days can alter our calendar, so pray for good weather!
