Financial Aid for College
A financial aid workshop is held each year in January for all interested senior parents. At this time all types of financial aid are discussed, as well as deadlines and types of forms needed.
There are two types of financial aid, one need based and one merit based. Financial aid also is offered in the form of grants and scholarships or loans and work study. Often, private colleges and institutions offer better financial aid packages than state schools. Decisions about which college or university to attend should not be made until all financial aid information is completed and packages offered.
