Upper School Curriculum

Amelia Academy is pleased to announce the additional of a U.S. Constitution course to our curriculum this school year. An in-depth study of the document our forefathers wrote, the various debates, court cases and other events that have shaped our insight to the Constitution will be studied.

The U.S. Constitution course will be taught in conjunction with another new class, Communication Leadership Skills. A computer elective class with the intent to better prepare our graduates to utilize technology as they continue their education has been added as well.

Our upper school program follows a seven-period daily schedule. The general courses offered are listed here.

  • Algebra I, Algebra, II, Geometry and Pre-Calculus
  • English 9 - 12, Speech/composition
  • Biology (lab), Chemistry (lab), Environmental Science, Physics
  • U.S. Constitution, World History, U.S. History, Government, World Geography, Economics and Comparative Religion
  • Communication Leadership
  • Electives in areas including technology, fine arts, journalism, psychology and criminal justice.
